
Nomadix Art Tour
Cambodia is home to vibrant arts and culture; with an incredible history in the region. Forty years after the collapse of the Khmer Rouge regime, many artists emerged on the art stage, contributing to the revival of various forms of Cambodian arts. Yet, not many women were stimulated to become artists despite being a good mother and housewife. Along the induction of peace in the early 20th century, many women around Cambodia break the societal line to pursue their dream as artists. Until now, some of them made a massive impact and changes to the society. Nowadays, unfortunately, these substantial arts are majorly accessible to only major city dwellers. That is the major factor that lead to the initiative of ‘2020 NomadiX Tour’.
This tour aims to bring awareness to local people and students in the remoted areas to understand the value of arts. It is a platform where local communities can closely engage and be exposed to the world of art through workshop given by creative female artists in diversified form. The vision of 2020 NomadiX Tour is additionally to inspire and guide young students from different schools who dream to be artists in the near future. The first tour will be taking place in Kampot province and it will be rotating to other provinces upon capacity and situation. ( Feb 21st-23rd)
