អំពី «ទីសំចត» 

ដោយ សៅ ស្រីម៉ៅ នាក់ សុផល តាន់​ វត្តី​ និងសាយ តុលា 

ទីសំចត គឺជាកន្លែងធ្វើការរួម វិចិត្រសាល និងកន្លែងស្នាក់នៅរយៈពេលខ្លីសម្រាប់សិល្បករ ប្រតិបត្តករវប្បធម៌ និងអ្នកស្រឡាញ់សិល្បៈ ដែលមានទីតាំងស្ថិតនៅចំកណ្តាលរាជធានីភ្នំពេញ។ ពួកយើងបានបង្កើតកន្លែងនេះឡើងក្នុងឆ្នាំ២០២០ ក្នុងគោលបំណងផ្តល់ឱកាសដល់សាធារណៈជនទូទៅ ជាពិសេសអ្នកដែលមានចំណាប់អារម្មណ៌លើសិល្បៈ ដើម្បីជួបជុំគ្នា បង្កើតស្នាដៃ និងបណ្តុះស្មារតីចែករំលែកចំណេះដឹងជាមួយយុវជននៅក្នុងសហគមន៍តាមរយៈជំនាញរបស់ខ្លួន។ ស្របជាមួយគ្នានេះផងដែរ យើងក៏មានទស្សនៈវិស័យចង់ឱ្យទីសំចត ជាទីសម្រាប់មនុស្សនៅក្នុងសហគមន៍សិក្សា បង្កើតសិល្បៈ និងចាត់ទុកទីនេះជាផ្ទះរបស់ខ្លួន តាមរយៈការចូលរួមជាមួយសកម្មភាពសិល្បៈផ្សេងៗ។ 

ទីសំចត  បានលេចជារូបរាងឡើង ដោយសារសេចក្តីស្រឡាញ់យ៉ាងជ្រាលជ្រៅចំពោះសិល្បៈ និងការយកចិត្តទុកដាក់ចំពោះអ្នកដែលបម្រើការក្នុងវិស័យវប្បធម៌។ តាមរយៈបទពិសោធការងារក្នុងសហគមន៍ដាច់ស្រយាល យើងតែងស្តាប់ឮជារឿយៗថា សិល្បករ និងប្រតិបត្តករវប្បធម៌តែងតែជួបបញ្ហាហិរញ្ញវត្ថុសម្រាប់កន្លែងស្នាក់នៅ នៅពេលដែលពួកគាត់ចង់ចូលរួមវេទិកា សិក្ខាសាលាសិល្បៈ ឬកម្មវិធីសិល្បៈផ្សេងៗទៀត ហើយភាគច្រើនកម្មវិធីទាំងនេះតែងប្រព្រឹត្តឡើងក្នុងរាជធានីភ្នំពេញ។ ការជជែក និងចែករំលែកនេះ បានជំរុញឱ្យពួកយើងអនុវត្តគម្រោងសម្រាប់សហគមន៍នេះកាន់តែខ្លាំងឡើង និងមានក្តីស្រមៃកាន់តែធំធេងជាងមុន ដោយសារពួកយើងក៏ធ្លាប់សង្ឃឹមជាយូរមកហើយថា នឹងបង្កើតកន្លែងមួយសម្រាប់ឱ្យពួកយើងធ្វើការជាមួយមនុស្សដែលជិតស្និតនៅក្នុងបណ្តាញទំនាក់ទំនង និងក្នុងសហគមន៍។ តាមរយៈការបង្កើត «ទីសំចត» យើងសូមជំរុញ និងលើកទឹកចិត្តដល់សិល្បករ និងប្រតិបត្តករវប្បធម៌ឱ្យយល់ថា ពួកគាត់មានផ្ទះមួយក្នុងរាជធានីភ្នំពេញ ដែលរងចាំស្វាគមន៍ពួកគាត់ជានិច្ច។  
ទីសំចត ជាទីកំណើតសម្រាប់មិត្តភាព ភាពច្នៃប្រតិដ្ឋ កិច្ចពិភាក្សាទាក់ទងនឹងសិល្បៈ និងជាកន្លែងផ្តល់កម្លាំងចិត្តលើការងារបស់ពួកគាត់។ លើសពីនេះទៅទៀត ទីសំចត ជាទីសម្រាប់អ្នកដែលរស់នៅរាជធានីភ្នំពេញ ដើម្បីជួបជុំ បង្កើតស្នាដៃ និងបណ្តុះស្មារតីចែករំលែកចំណេះដឹងជាមួយមនុស្សនៅក្នុងសហគមន៍របស់ខ្លួនផងដែរ។

tiSamjort (“Resting Place”) is a Phnom Penh-based collaborative work space, gallery, and short-term residence for artists and cultural practitioners. Founded in 2020 by three visual artists and one culture lover, we envision tiSamjort as a resting place and a meeting space in Cambodia’s capital where people can learn, make art, and feel at home through collective engagement with the arts.

tiSamjort was born out of love for the arts and care for cultural practitioners.  We began to recognize a need for a resting place for artists in Phnom Penh after initiating our first project, Nomadix Arts Tour, which brought arts programming to provincial communities throughout Cambodia. When meeting with artists and cultural practitioners in different parts of the country, we commonly heard that some of these cultural enthusiasts have encountered practical and financial barriers to come to join the art seminars, workshops and cultural events which have always been held in the capital. Though we had long hoped to launch a collaborative work space for artists in Phnom Penh, these conversations led us to dream bigger, and to imagine how we might alleviate some of the financial burden for artists seeking to travel from provincial Cambodia into the capital. 

By creating tiSamjort, we want to encourage provincial artists to not give up, and to know that they have a home in Phnom Penh, as well as a place where friendship, creativity, art-related discussion and inspiration can be found. More than that, it is a place for Phnom Penh folks to gather, create new works and share them with people in their communities.
